Last week was a good week. I walked 15 miles on Wednesday, 5 on Thursday, and 10 on Saturday. This week the weather here in Dallas is a bit cooler - high in the mid 80s to lower 90s. So this week's plan is 10 miles today (Monday), 10 miles Tuesday, 5 or 10 on Wednesday, Thursday is a rest and travel day to Philadelphia for a meeting, and then 10 miles on both Friday and Saturday with Sunday being another rest and travel day!
I will be putting some back to back longer days when the weather here permits just to satisfy myself that I can do that.
I've gotten some good training suggestions from my teammates who have done this before (yeah I know like people really do this twice in a lifetime?).

STILL WALKING
Last week we were in Santa Fe and I kept on walking. On Thursday I walked six and a half miles in sunny weather. On Friday I walked ten and a half miles in some light rain and then cooler weather. It was encouraging to me that I was able to keep my pace up (about 3 miles per hour) even though I was 7000+ feet above sea level. I'm now back in Dallas walking in the heat. You'll notice that Thursday and Friday last week I walked about what we will walk the FIRST DAY in the 3day so I still have lots of training to do. In mid-October I plan to walk a "test" 3day just to see if I can do it! Keep you posted!!!

Still Walking
Well the weather is back up to 100 again but I'm still walking. I had my second cataract removed on August 4 so I am enjoying the colors as I walk. Can't believe how dim things had gotten. Phil and I travel to Santa Fe next week and I am looking forward to walking there - hope it is cooler!
