Walked in Padre

This weekend Phil and I were on South Padre Island. The first day I walked on the beach. It's surprising how much more difficult it was to walk on the sand. I also forgot to take enough water with me so for the last hour I had no water. Lesson learned! The second day I walked up Padre Blvd so water and bathrooms were available. See I do learn! The weather was hot but there was a breeze so it wasn't too bad. I did get alot of sun but even though I got pretty red it turned brown. I'm getting a nice tan for the first time in my life! This week I will be doing back-to-back long walks on Wednesday and Thursday. I walk pretty much every day but Sunday. We're having a little break in the heat here this week. Tomorrow I might even get in a few steps in the rain. While watching football this weekend I saw that it was in the upper 90's in San Diego. What is up with that? It better be back in the 70's in November - I mean I chose San Diego for its weather! We're about 9 weeks from the walk. I'm doing pretty well fundraising and maybe I will even reach my goal!
